 I went to Milton Keynes with my sister and my dad the other day - for Christmas dad bought Jens some really expensive designer jeans despite the fact she only wanted Topshop ones. As predicted, Jens didn't like them (they were massively too big as well) so off to MK we went to return them! Jens got £85 which was promptly spent in Topshop, and I bought my Rihanna For River Island denim jacket and a velvet dress!

River Island picks!

I bought myself three NYE dresses this year. Yes, I'm aware I only have one body, I'm also aware NYE is only one night long. I picked up this denim jacket as well somewhat spontaneously - it's not exactly something I need as I've already got my Levi denim jacket, and let's take a quick look out the window at the weather right now! I couldn't resist though; £60 reduced to £20 was a complete steal and I just know I'll get the wear out of it next spring!

This dress is the one I actually wore for NYE which was a really good night in the end! I went to my friend Damiano's party which was shut down about 11PM due to about 40 extra people turning up. I did feel sorry for his mum who was there at the time - she's lovely but wasn't realistic about the amount of people at a teenage party. It ended with a lot of people leaving at 11PM and going to a different party, which me, my friend Emily and 4 other girls I vaguely know from college all jumping in a taxi and going to this other guy's party too. We ended up spending the actual NYE part of the evening in the taxi, drunkenly singing along to Celebrations with the taxi driver, who gave us a discount in the end! It was a somewhat surprising night, although it ended with me and Emily getting pizza and chicken nuggets back in my town before spending £10 on a 2 and a half mile taxi back to my house! The best part of NYE in my opinion? I didn't wake up with a hangover!
I'm aware this post is really, really overdue but I forgot to post it the other day and really wanted to show you guys my new jacket, so here you go!

Autumn Style

I am so in love with these boots. I've seen so many people wearing different variations but they're perfect. I love the fact the cut out part means you can wear cute socks with them and also the fact that they have a heel but not too high. As previously complained over, I'm 5 foot 8 and a bit so any type of heel is usually a No from me, however these are the exception. The top is just a basic one from Topshop, if you can call 'basic' £16! It is silk though which counts for something. The jacket is from Topshop and is also waay expensive, but so nice. I've been looking for a leather jacket for some time now - I'm not fussed if it's real or not as long as it's not a horrible plastic-y texture but I don't want one of the ones that do up on one side, I'm more of a symmetric person when it comes to jackets. This one is quilted and similar to those coats everyone wore last year, but added to the leather makes the vintage effect more current. I love how the neckline is like that of a bomber jacket too - it would look great with a chunky gold necklace on top of it. The scarf is River Island and I love it, but it wouldn't go with many things. I don't own many scarfs for that exact reason. With this outfit it would be great as it adds subtle colour to what would otherwise be quite a plain outfit.
I've posted about the jeans a few times on here; they're Topshop Joni's finest and I will (soon/payday) invest in a pair! Finally, the watch is a vintage Casio one which I've also been meaning to purchase for a while now - they sell on loads of websites for anything between £15 - £60 but you can buy them on Ebay for about £5 which is probably where I'll get mine from!

Winter coats

Last year I was all about the Khaki trend - ideally I would have just had an oversized camo jacket for a winter coat and been done with it. As it was, my dad, quite sensibly, wouldn't allow this and instead I got a green swing coat from Topshop which I absolutely loved for about a week. After this, I wore my oversized levi jacket with a hoodie underneath for the rest of winter and consequently got many throat and chest infections. One way to learn a lesson! This year I'm being more practical and looking for a warm coat I'll wear regularly. It has to be something that will go with a lot of things which includes the colour - the only thing stopping me getting a fairisle coat last year was the fact that I'd be limited when wearing patterns, so that's something else to take into account. This year I'm either after a boyfriend style coat or an oversized bomber jacket. I found the nicest bomber jacket in Primark about a month ago in Sheffield, crossed my fingers that they'd have it in my local branch and then walked past 3 girls all wearing the same coat. Needless to say, this really put me off. I really don't like wearing the same things as other people. I don't mind if it's a t shirt, or a pair of jeans, or even a pair of shoes, because these are changed most days and the likelihood of it happening again with the same item is slim. Winter coats are the limit though because they're worn most days, and there's nothing worse than matching with someone else day after day (after day). This is the only thing possibly stopping me from buying a coat from Topshop or River Island again. Luckily, last year I don't think I saw anyone wear the same coat as me but I'd be pushing my luck for the same thing to happen this year. I did find these ones online though which I really like, so I may have to sway my decision!

I'm also going charity shopping in London with my friend Abby in a few weeks, so I think I'll put off the coat buying until then on the slim chance I come across my dream coat on the backstreets of London!

#OOTD1

Last Christmas my dad bought me a Nikon L120. This was all well and good except for the fact that it was faulty. My fault in the matter was not realising it was faulty and thinking it was my own fault, and as a result not getting it fixed in time. Its warranty is now up and I am currently stuck with my old Fujifilm camera, which does the job but sadly that is all. Because of this, the quality of my photos won't be amazing, nor will the camera angles. Despite this I still feel I should occasionally upload What I Wore Today posts, so here is the first one!

It was a cold, cold day in mid September when Georgie awoke. Putting her outfit together she looked for an ideal outfit which would suit the weather, maybe jeans, maybe a jumper.. maybe disco shorts.

 (One of my biggest problems is finding weather appropriate outfits which as you can tell I fail miserably at.) 

I guess the hat is slightly Winterish, except for the fact that I wear hats whatever the season, hmm..
I wore this to College, albeit briefly seeing as I was only in for Psychology (Thursdays are good days too.) I don't really take much care in my outfits to College because i have little time in the mornings and I would rather sleep than take ages picking out clothes.






The hat is from River Island, my top is Vans and bought either from their website or Ebay, I'm not entirely sure! My shorts are American Apparel Disco Shorts in 'Charcoal'. Tights are probably from Primark/Asda/Sister's drawer and my gold necklace was a bargain - £4 from Primark! You can't actually see in the pictures but I wore the outfit with white platform trainers, similar ones can be seen here.
